Surviving Domestic Abuse

This is a very difficult page to write. I’ve actually avoided it for quite awhile now. But the bottom line is, I don’t want any other woman who has been (or currently is being) abused to think they are alone. I know that it is hard to get out. I know that it seems impossible. I know what it’s like to be scared for your life, scared for your kids, scared this is how your life will be forever. It can get dark and overwhelming in your head. But I want to say to you – hold on. Stay strong, and focus on each day as it comes. Reach out to whomever you can. If you feel there is no one that can help you, don’t let that bring you down. Take it day by day, formulate a plan, and put that plan into action. You are a strong woman, and you and your children will make it through to the other side. Don’t forget that.
